There are patterns designed particularly for mosaics, however you shouldn’t have to be limited through the use of simply mosaic patterns. Hi Silva I’m creating an approx 4′ x 4′ mosaic for outdoor. The final one I made was on marine board with hardibacker connected. I’ve by no means used Wedi board. I am wondering if I can use the Wedi alone to install to the face of a concrete wall, (inside an old window well that has been stuffed in), and if Wedi is appropriate, can I take advantage of it alone without the plywood for rigidity? I want to create the mosaic indoors on the Wedi and transport to the positioning and then grout. Any recommendation could be drastically appreciated. This can be a kids’s art camp undertaking.
